APRIL DEMONSTRATION BY VAL RIDLER
We look forward to welcoming Val Ridler to tomorrow's demonstration in mixed media.
We will aim to start at 10 am prompt so please be in the Catholic Church Rooms by 9.45 if you can.
There will be a short interval for coffee and the usual Sales Table.
We are no longer required to restrict numbers so if you are free please join us.
Visitors welcome for a nominal fee.
FEBRUARY DEMONSTRATION TUESDAY 1 FEBRUARY 2022
February's demonstrator is Tim Wilmott, who many of you may know. Tim's vibrant and lively watercolours are a real pleasure to see as is his energetic and informative demonstration. If you have not booked your place for this please see below!
Please be aware that if you wish to attend, please contact Ian Fountaine to ensure a space is available as we are currently restricted to 30 attendees in the Church Hall.
There will be a Sales Table available. Please feel free to bring any unwanted good art items for sale.

JANUARY DEMONSTRATION BY COLIN ROSS JACK
The new year started with an acrylic demonstration by returning artist Colin Ross Jack. We have enjoyed demos by Colin in previous years and his approach was clear and well explained. Although profoundly deaf, Colin is an excellent communicator and his wintry scene provided the perfect kick stat to the painting year for members and visitors.
WELCOME TO THE LEDBURY ART SOCIETY BLOG
We are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of the country, bordering Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and a stone's throw from the Welsh Marches. This setting offers the artist many opportunities and Ledbury Art Society aims to encourage those existing artists and those who are new to art to make the most of this wonderful landscape.
For many years Ledbury Art Society has hosted a regular series of demonstrations by professional artists. The variety of artists and the mediums they use are of real benefit to members. Sadly these had to stop in 2020/21 because of the measures introduced to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
During this time many have picked up a brush or pencil and found real pleasure in spending time with their art. Ledbury Art Society supports this creative drive by providing access to these talented demonstrators, many of whom are known nationally and internationally, sharing their expertise and experience with us.

This watercolour by Ian Fountaine is, according to his own description, his 'latest daub'.
Sue Embrey watched a Zoom demo by Les Darlow on Thursday 29 Oct using Rowland Hilder’s watercolours as the subject for a pan pastel painting. She has used ordinary pastels and an ink pen on this and her own interpretation. It’s her first snow scene!!
Daph Willett has named her painting "Snow Squirrel" but this looks like a red squirrel in snow rather than an Arctic Ground Squirrel. When many of our members were children seeing red squirrels was a delight but not terribly unusual. There were over 3 million in the UK in the early 1950s but now there are about 120,000 and most of those are in Scotland.
